Question: What are Boolean Operators?

Boolean operators are used to connect your search terms and enable you to broaden, narrow, and exclude specific terms in your search.

The 3 main Boolean Operators are AND, OR and NOT. When using Basic Search on Discovery you must type these in between your search terms but if you choose Advanced Search they will be already there you just need to toggle between the three and choose the one you want.

For more details on what each Boolean Operator does and how to effectively use them take a look at our guide here.
