Books will automatically renew as long as there are no reservations on them. Students should regularly check their student email in order to know if their books have been renewed or must be returned.
Students will receive an underdue loan email 4 days before their books are due. This will remind them that their books may be renewed in 2 days time.
Students will receive an auto-renewal email 2 days before their books are due. This will inform the student if they need to return their books or if they have been automatically renewed. An example of such an email is below, it is important to read this carefully as such emails will always include the line "the following item/s cannot be renewed. Please return them to the library" however, as in the below example, there may be no books listed here. The email then goes on to say "The following item/s have been renewed" and lists the books and provides a new due date.
If you are unsure when reading the auto-renewal email just look at the due date listed and this will confirm if your books have renewed. Often some of your books may renew while others will have to be returned.
You can also renew books yourself at any time.
