Why is my similarity score 100%?

Answer

One reason that a student might receive a similarity score of 100 is that they are self matching. This can occur if a student has already submitted the exact paper to a different class although if the student submits the same paper to multiple assignments in the same class then it should not show as  a match.

For more information on how a self match can occur view this Turnitin article.

In order to see if it is your own assignment you are matching with you can follow our FAQ on checking your sources.
